New Volunteer Orientation!

Blue Ridge Assistance Dog facilities

Volunteer opportunities include: training / being mentored, dog sitting, puppy raisers, & more.

Will develop certificate levels & awards for volunteers to be presented each graduation.

**Remember the big pay-off FOR all volunteers is to learn proper training for ours and other dogs so that they can spread the message**

Fiona Gives Birth!

On Monday, August 1, 2011, Fiona gave birth to a new litter of future service dogs!

There are eight new pups, five male and three female, and they were born between 6:30 pm and 10:30 pm. All weighed between 12.5 and 14.5 ounces. Puppies and Mom are doing well!

Fundraiser at Barrel Oak Winery!

BRAD is having a fundraiser at Barrel Oak Winery on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 10% of all bottle sales will be graciously donated to BRAD. Barrel Oak Winery is Dog and Child friendly Winery, so bring the whole family, feel free to bring a picnic lunch and blanket, and enjoy a Summer afternoon!

Barrel Oak Winery is located at 3623 Grove Lane, Delaplane, VA 20144.

Blue Ridge Assistance Dogs wants to thank the Trinity Episcopal Church Men's Group for all their hard work putting on a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to benefit BRAD. Thanks to the Men's Group and all those supporters who attended the event, the night ended up a huge success. The funds raised at this event will help advance the Blue Ridge Assistance Dog mission.
